Working with Ryder Architecture, I created images for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow.
The aim of this project was to create marketing images, to be used on the PPWH website to showcase the new purpose-built £21million hospice, in Glasgow's Bellahouston Park.
This production was for three exterior images, based on previously created shots and my remit was to recreate the images, integrating new design changes. The architect had a clear direction on which artistic style would match the quality of the project materiality.
The production was approached in two phases. The first phase was to establish the views and basic materiality, with the second phase being about finalising the style, compositions and enhancements in post-production.
The palette of materials selected for the project were amazing and I took my time to correctly represent these, again working very closely with the architect to achieve the warm tones - especially in the brick and bronze.
The externals of the project also took a some time to get right, working closely with the landscape architect on specific tree species and the tones. These were enhances in post-production, with the heather colour taken from the slate and multiplied through the shrubs.
"Gordon’s immediate understanding of the project aspirations and sensitivities made the 3D visualisation process engaging from the outset. His knowledge and passion for accurately representing the material palette resulted in an output that far exceeded expectations and allowed the images to be utilised in a wide range of formats to the benefit of the project. Gordon’s clear communication, proactive attitude to problem solving and professionalism allows for a confident recommendation of Collabor8’s services."
